ANYBODY HAVE COMPUSTAR, I NEED HELP
So since my senitivity is turned all the way up, the most littleist things can even set my alarm off ie: pull door handle, tap on the window, wheel, bumper, loud cars, motor cylcles, thunderstorms etc.. Well, i was wondering how to turn down the sensitivity. I have the two way pager thats blue from compustar w/remote start. Is there like a **** on the box under the dash to adjust it???

Look under your dash to locate the shock sencer. Then adjust it to meet your needs. It should have 4 wires pluged into it.

1- Adjust sensor.
2- Arm alarm.
3- Wait 15 sec.
4- With your clinched fist bang windshield softly, wait 2 -3 sec. then bang it again a little harder, wait again, then bang it harder again, keep doing so until warning mode triggers, and bang harder again until alarm triggers, if it's not where you want it, readjust sensor and try again, don't forget to wait 15 sec. after arming before trying it.
If the sensor is mounted properly and adjusted properly you should be able to kick the tires hard and nothing should happen but soft bangs on just about anyplace on car should trigger warn away, [first stage] and a hard bang should trigger alarm, [2nd stage] the roll up windows will be less sensitive because they are not directly mounted to the car as are the windshield rear and rear side glass.
This is a very good dual stage sensor and if installed and adjusted properly will never trigger even the first stage unless there is contact with the vehicle.

i didnt mean wire everything up to the 2nd trigger from the shock
i know about the 2 extra trigger wires
i have a 2w900fm-as
i meant just unhook the 2nd stage completely on the shock sensor it causes all the false alarms
& add on the other sensors i listed
if u get a dei backup battery wire that into the hood sensor trigger
wire the digital tilt /proximity sensor into the extra trigger wires
& wire the glass break into the shock 2nd trigger
this way when certain sensors r triggered u will know which one it is
instead of ur 2 way just showing shock sensor all the time

Thank u very much, no one knew how to adjust my alarm but this helped out a lot. But i don't want to turn it down too low. I just don't want it to be so damn sensitive. How does 7 sound for adjustment?? also, my 2way pager is messed up. sometimes when i lock it, the 2way shows unlock still and doesnt beep. And It stays stuck like that. I reset it but then , it say the car is on passive and turbo mode which its not.

Basically use the same trigger wire as the hood sensor for the DEI Backup battery
So when ur battery is disconnected ur 2way remote will show the hood is open
It gives u a better idea of what sensor is being tripped

have you found the impact sensor yet, or a model number for the system?
What does the remote look like... http://www.compustar.com/support_C.htm scroll down and see.

its the 2w900fmr, Ive heard about other owners that have the same remote and it like short circuits inside. I think mine short circuited. I didnt get a chance to look at my alarm since it was rainin this past weekend but im back up at school now. But yea, ive been using the backup remote for now.
I have never had one come back with a "short" but I have run into a few the the batt was not making a good connection, easy fix.
What is happening with yours, it will not arm disarm the alarm, or does not light up at all?

The 2 way remote works, Once in a while, it will go back to normal liike vibrate and beep when unlock and lock. Then when i go to unlock the car, drive around, then arm it, the remote doesnt beep or vibrate. It just shows the lock unlocked and i try to reset it by taking the battery out and putting it back in. Then after i set the time, the remote shows the shock sensor disarmed and it says the car is on turbo and passive which the car is not. Then over the summer when it was really hot, the remote wouldn't even unlock the car. I tried to use my key but my alarm went off and i couldn't start my car. I just locked my doors and let the alarm go off till it stopped. Then later in the day, it worked when i went to disarm it. I really think my remote is messed up so i stop using it. But i now use the back up. The only disadvantage is that im not alerted if something is happening to my car. The only other thing i could do is buy a new 2way remote.
OIC, yea that is weird, try this, open and remove batt. "bend" batt. contact "tabs" out a little so they make a better. [more solid] contact with the batt. and make sure batt. is in good shape, if that does not solve the problem, open remote up and remove circuit board and look for "cold solder" connection, [especially around the ant.] you have an intermittent problem with it and that indicates a bad connection rather then a short in the remote, [you do not want to know what a new on will cost.] also, although the Compustar does not have a valet/program/override switch/button like most alarms there is an override function... http://www.staub.ca/tech/Manua...l.pdf it is the same as "Remote Pager Learn Routine" and "Valet Mode', if alarm is alarming use key in ign. switch on/off 5 times within 10 sec. between acc. and run, starting in the off position turn ign to run then back to acc. then to run and back to acc. and run again 5 times when you turn from acc. to run the 4th time, [the 5th out of 5 was the first time from off to run] the alarm will turn off.

Question guys--I joined up just to ask, lol. I had the 900 series compustar installed on my 2004 Civic EX coupe a few months ago but didnt like that it took a lot to set off. So I adjusted the shock senseer to setting 5 from 2 (its zip-tied to some wires, should I move it also) and did the window smack test. Well I set it off and for the life of me could not get it to stop with my 2 way remote. Everyone in my aparment was pissed but I just stood there hitting all my buttons. Is there a certain button for this? Thanks
Dave
Dave
Pressing button I will arm and disarm the alarm, if the alarm is in "alarming" mode, EG: you smack the window and the alarm goes off, if you press button one it will not disarm the alarm, it will only mute the siren, once siren is muted you will need to press the button again the disarm the alarm, and once triggered it takes a few seconds, [while it transmits to your pager remote what is going on] before it can receive a signal from the remote.
Does the remote work properly to arm and disarm the alarm when it is not "alarming"?
Do you not have the owners guide?
Where did you get the alarm, and wher did you have the alarm installed?
