you're the 2nd person that said EA..... hmmmm?
I'm woundering if it's stated or printed anywhere?
but why an 86?
Those are carbed.
The 87 Si came fuel injected here in the U.S.
Funny, Honda Tuning magazine said the 87 Si came carbed in this months issue.
Another interesting fact about '83-'87 CiViC is that they were refered to as "civic ballade" in Japan & other countries.
The '87 CRX Si is called the "civic ballade sport"
WTF?... weird but true...
but I still can't find the damn chassis code.

THANX but the thing I realy gotta make sure of is the change over year because it is different in Japan.
for example, '92-'95 civic hatch here in the states is actually documented as '91-'94 in Japan. Therefore, the civic '83-'87 here in the states is '82-86 in Japan.
I seen japanese articles state '91 civic EG and have said "WTF" to myself.
but in reality it makes sense to Japanese consumer. Our beloved 5th gen hatch started in '91 in Japan.
We recieve the cars one year later....

figured it out based on official Honda link posted above.
It's Final: Ths JDM Chassis Code for '87 CiViC SI is AT
I was a bit confused at first when trying to read the link above.
technicaly, the car is "EE-AT".
but after reading the 92-95 hatch specs. The Honda site states "EE-EG6" for the SiRII
socialy we refer to 92-95 hatchs in the states as "EG" so I think it's safe to say "AT" for the hatch in question. as mention above in a previous post.
thanx to all for your support, especially zaakro...
