this is my friends stock gsr with 130k miles. compression was around 220 so it appears healthy. peakboost kit on 9 psi a/f 11.8:1 down to 11:1 at redline, timing is around .9* per psi retard.
his coolant in the reservoir turns a golden shade after a few days. i dont think its oil, because oil and coolant dont mix very well and wouldnt form a homogenous mixture. this has the same tint and consistancy throughout. it dont smell like oil, but it smells like shitty *** old coolant, which isnt the case because it only has a few 1000 miles on it since it was flushed.
the car runs fine and doesnt appear to be burning much if any coolant or oil, nor is it pressurizing the overflow. whats going on here

the block was not flushed. the coolant was drained however, and the oe rad replaced with a fluidyne unit.
also, the fluidyne was full of coolant hooked up to another car that sat for probably a year or 2. i know they are aluminum, but could there be corrosion or something inside the rad that would discolor the coolant?

i actually am not too too concerned, but the owner wanted me to find out more information
