Default 83mm safe?

hey guys, what do you think of boring b16a to 83mm? is this safe using block guards? tnx guys.

i heard 82mm is the biggest u can bore on stock sleeves, safely.

JG has an 83mm stock sleeve setup you can get from him,Stage 2 street strip all motor package.

i jsut got off the phoen with rs machines. he said its not even doable. as in there isnt 2mm of extra cylinder wall lining. at 83mm youre out of steel and into the aluminum which makes up the block.

Agreed.

It is not considered "not possible" on stock sleeves. 82mm is OFFICIALLY the biggest you can go.

and after talking to the omniman steve, 82 is doable, but only with a real world realistic compression ratio like 11.8:1 and lower with a good tune. detonation would be enough to crack whats left of the s tock sleeve.

i have looked into this personally becuase i want to take an ls block as big as i can go on stock sleeves myself. well, i HAVE and its in my closet. it cant wait to come out of the closet. worlds first gay lsvtec
