broken cam

Default broken cam

anyone ever brake there cams putting them in?when i was putting the camplate back on and tighting it up the intake cam snapped in half

99% of the time, its installation error. Did you follow the proper torque sequence?

It is probably a mixture of installation error and the cams material, but I can almost guarantee if you did the same exact torquing and install method with OEM cams they wouldn't have broken. Alot of these cams are very brittle. Some of the best cams available (and I have used) for the d16a6 have been regrinds of factory cores--regrinds introduce their own set of issues, but the cams do not break.

Not myself personally, no. But in my experience, it's almost always installation error.
