Default show or go?

alright so heres the deal.. im 16 i have a 99 hatch dx and i have $500 as of right now(i know its not much). i know i need more but as time goes i can build up money. i have 2 choices. either go show (foglights, rear lip, HID, ect.) or i can boost (custom turbo kit consisting of an eclipse turbo w/ stock psi). i know if i go boost route i will need to read and study and such. but i just want to know what you older group did first. or if you could go back what would you do. i have a d16y7 and it gets me around as i need to.. just an o2 problem.. but its not quite what the quickness i want. so what does everyone think.. show or go.?

sorry if this is in the wrong section..

thanks,
tony

Do what you want. It's your car, it's your money.

As a note, any flaming will be reported accordingly.

your 16, make it look nice (not rice). Making it fast will just get you in trouble.

Imma going to vote for the GO factor in a build.

Nobody expects a shitty looking car to be fast...

just my $.02

You are 16. Put it in your pocket. And buy a NICE car in 5 years when you are 21. Can't tell you how many times I wish I had done that. I'd be driving an 06 Si instead.
