Rain-X makes an awesome anti-fog for cars. Kinda like the rain-x exterior window treatment. You can get it at pretty much any parts store.

I put it in my EM2, and rarely ever have an issue with cloudiness on the windows on the inside.

How did you put it on? Because if you don't do it a certain way, it really is not that effective.

This is what worked for me...

Take a soft terry cloth or microfiber cloth, spray some of the chemical on the cloth, and wipe down the inside of the windshield with the Anti-Fog.

Make a small circular, overlapping pattern, with moderate pressure. After that, just get a clean side of the towel, or a new towel, and wipe the excess off after letting it sit for a bit.

I know how he feels, I have a gutted hatch so it seems like it fogs up isntantaneously...but using the heater works for me. Has he put it on blast and made sure air is actually coming out? If he has debris or whatever else that is blocking the vents that could be part of the problem.

Okay, I don't want to go into the whole chemistry lesson now, but I'm make it real brief. If it's just plain cold as **** outside - but it's DRY, then use your defoggers/defrosters. If it's fogging up on the inside and it's cool or cold & WET then use the COLD air vents directed towards the windshield (defoggers on cold instead of warm) and crack a window a bit. Once the ambient temperature in your car matches the one outside your windows won't fog. This of course is made harder by the fact that it's wet outside. If you put the front defoggers on (maybe cold is a bad example, say a scale from 1-10, 1 being hot, ten being cold, put it on like 6 or 7 or 8). You do that, and the windows will defog very quickly...but if you shut the window and turn the defogger off, they'll fog back up hella quickly.

Take it from me, we get a lot of rain in NY. Maybe not as much as Hawaii, but enough to know that hot air doesn't work when it's wet outside, have to use cold. AC preferably, but I don't have AC in my civic (as you said you don't) so the "cold" vents will work just as well (or almost ).

Hope that helps.

Another reason it will fog up is if he has the heat on recirculate. If he has the outside air switch on, it will help prevent fog from forming in the first place.

The rainx anti fog someone had mentioned earlier is good stuff, but like he said if applied correctly. Read the box, and it works. Personally i dont have much of a problem with fog, Keep the vents on fresh and when it fogs up i put it right between hot/cold. No a/c in my car. Keeping the windows cracked is great. I just need some visors.
