I need to get my EG painted. I got 6 hundred to spend. Its a hatch so it should be easy and fast.

 

go to one a day on carson and cherry.... 600 door jambs and all...































i got it painted there no hook up nothing just walked and told em what i wanted done. they did prep and everything! 6 bills!

btw i dont have this car any longer sold it not too long ago!

Help this guy out his car needs a paint job big time. I'm embarassed to ride around in his car.

were you able to drop it off in the morning and pick it up that night? Or was it an over night deal. I need my car painted badly too, but I need it to be as quick as possible.

 

takes like i dunno 2 to 3 days....

 

are those paint job u got from them? the green hatch

absolutely no way this car was painted in one day..=maybe if the car was primered

i thought those one day paint places use low quality paint?

i mean yeah, it always looks good for about 6 months then **** starts chipping and what not. (not saying urs will) i had my first ek come out of earl shiebs and they did not do a very good job. on my second ek i took it to a privately owned shop where the paint and clearcoat were of high quality and still shines like new til this day

 

it looks good for 600$.. how many stages of paint? cuz my friend has a shop in rowland heights.. around the same amount for 1 stage paint.. but its good quality .. any color.. LMK

 

One Day paint job on Carson and Cherry is BULLSH!T!!! They couldn't even paint my BRAND NEW Urethane bumper!!! Took one week to paint, then it peeled the next day, then took another week to paint and still chipped and flaked.

Now I learned how to paint and it hasn't chipped nor faded, nothing. IMO stay away from cheap paint shops. A good paint job comes down to a VERY GOOD body job and PREP WORK (which these "1 day PAINT" can't/won't do). That's my experience with those B!tches. Good Luck!

Oh and it cost me $400 worth of PPG OEM paint and clear to paint my whole car with like a quart left. A whole productive summer is worthwhile.

Sorry guys, this topic was supposed to be put in the Southern Calif "Hook-it-up" thread. Didn't mean to jack it. Anyway, Im going to stick with this place near me called "Burks", he also has another shop that is called "FaceLift". The guy name is John. Lets see if he can hook me up.

hah i just put pics of my car and where it was painted. its all at ur own risk cause ive seen cars come out good...and cars come out bad...but thats how my car came out. for 6 bills i was rather happy. and no i didnt want them to paint my engine bay because it was black. so it didnt matter...

 

yea...i've been searching for a paint place myself..i know one day on cherry becuz i got a quote for $950 for everything: $366 for body and "plus 2: 3 stage, door jabs, inside/out" paint doupon(mispelled) paint 3 yr. on the other hand, i had service my corolla back in high school to Burks Auto body and they use good paint...ppg...i like them. don't know how much..wish i can get hook up. my ek hatch looks like ****. But i got a lot of goodies underneath!!

 

Found a place, thanks to a fellow member on HT. Getting it painted this weekend. I was the hookup i was looking for. Can't wait.

hey Klo.. how much did Bruks quote u? John the owner is my friend also.. i could have hook u up there also.. its just they take a long time..

* and boy does Greenfield sound good man...i always wanna try that place out.. lol *
