Default kyb gr2 with H&R sport? or OE sport?

I just picked up an 88 crx for a beater for this winter.

its suspension is completely shot and I need to redo it. Problem is this is just my beater and I don't give a **** about it (i.e. don't wanna spend tons of money on it)

I've ordered a complete ES bushing kit so far.

Next up are the springs and struts.

I want to drop it a bit, but nothing extreme. I was looking into H&R sport with GR2.

Anybody running this setup? the sports lower 1.8inches or so.

I have a feeling the gr2s wont last but wanted to check from everyone here to see if anybody was running it.

Also anybody dropped on H&R OE sports? the ones that don't drop much? I was thinking they would probably be better suited for the gr2 but I don't want to look like a 4x4 too much. do they really not drop it much at all?

thanks guys

Another question for you guys also.

Do the kyb rear gr2 for the 88 crx come with the lower suspension bushing?

Number 13 in this picture?

I have H&R sport springs on my hatch, stock shocks. none of them have blown, car looks great, handles great, couldn't be happier.

I run the gr2 on my car that is dropped about 3" on coilovers

Havnt blown any shocks and they ride perfect

Also, yes they come with the bushing already installed

I have the GR2/H&R Sport setup on the woman's '90 hatch and have put some serious miles on it in the last year it's been on. It's holding up fine and I drove the car fairly hard though 12 miles of twisties twice a week for about eight months. Great all around suspension but you will feel the road.

Is this car going to solely be your beater? If so, especially where it snows, I would suggest running DA springs to lift your car up lol. Nothing beats clearing snowbanks .

thanks for all the help guys.

I ended up getting tein s-tech simply because they were slightly cheaper and didn't drop quite as much as H&R.

So my beater suspension is tein s-tech, kyb gr2, and full ES bushing kit.

I'll update how it rides when everything is installed
