Default Questions about Comptech supercharger (02-04 Type-S)

Does anyone know how much boost the Comptech supercharger makes for the 02-04 Type-S with the standard issue stage 1 pulley? Comptech says that the upgrade stage 2 pulley increases boost 1 psi. and makes approx. 20-30 more HP, AT THE WHEELS! This sounds exceedingly suspicious to me. Has anyone had any experience with this product? Any info at all would be greatly appreciated, THANKS!

I just got off the phone with Comptech. Here's the rundown: The smog-legal Stage 1 Supercharger kit makes 4-5 psi of boost. The stage 2 makes 6-7psi ("Relativley safely" says Comptech) and is not legal. The 3.3" pulley makes 8-9psi, and the 3.15" pulley makes 9-10, both are not considered "safe" to run on the street.

So all this brings me to another question (Comptech was not at liberty to say):
How come the general rule of thumb is that any given Honda motor should be able to safley handle 8psi of boost and comptech says thier 3.3" pulley (8-9psi.) is not safe for the street? I'm getting confused, please help!

there are probably items to the kit that are not "street legal" or require fuel that you most likely won't find at the corner gas station (racing fuel above 100 octane).
