Default H22 with h23 head

I just picked up an H23 with h22 head.... I think the Rod bearing is about to spin... how hard is that to replace... can i do it my self or i would have to send it off

Say what? Why do you think the rod bearing is "about to spin"?

That isn't something you can usually predict.

Rod bearings are no all that hard to replace, but it is a very delicate job. You must be capable and have the equipment to take some very precise and critical measurements!

h22 w/ an h23 head? never heard of anyone doing that. usually it's an h23 with an h22 head..

if your rod bearings are going bad you will hear a ticking noise coming from the block, which means that your crank is being shaved. reason for that is because whoever built the block didnt position the body oil jets right or didnt put them in at all seeing as you have to literally bent the tubes to make it fit in the block. so you have to let us know if it is ticking at all. also as someone stated before you wont know if it is bad until it goes bad.
