The F4i is more comfortable than the RR. It has a lower seat height, higher bars, and lower foot pegs. Its suspension is a little more cushy. But this doesn't mean it's not a sport bike. Many people have used F4is as track bikes. They're both 600cc bikes, but the F4i is tuned for more mid range. It's short 1000 rpms on the tach, and has a little less horsepower. I didn't notice.
Between the GSXR 600 and the CBR 600 rr, there isn't much of a difference in terms of starter bikes. I hope neither of those are 06s you're thinking about. The last thing a new rider needs it a brand new bike.
I won't say anything else as you've already been linked to a lot of information.

The bananna seats on the new F4i's are pretty nice.

of the 3 choices i see in your post, i would choose the F4i. your back and *** will hurt less from the seat and you will have a chance at learning on the F4, the others will only teach you not to kill yourself.
the banana seat is only on the 04+ f4i's the 01-03 have a 2 seat design that i like much better. put a solo seat cowl on, like the one i have and it looks sweet on the 01-03.
the seat on the 01-03 isnt too comfortable but its not bad. but with a set of rearsets it isnt very comfortable at all

Technically, any bike is an ok starter bike. Self control is a large factor. Putting an idiot on a 600 is a 'better' idea than on a 1000 but..still a bad idea. For your first bike, less CC's is adviseable. Going fast on a motorcycle is nothing like going fast in a car. I just started 4 months ago and 600 cc's feels insane to me. Also, you need to factor in comfortability/rideability. By this I am referring to your height and weight. If you're 5'1 and 120 lbs, I would not recommend riding a 1000 cc monster nor some of the other 600 cc bikes. They're heavy and can be difficult to manage if you're really small.
My recommendation for a starter bike is the CBR F4i. I bought a CBR-600-RR and have had a more difficult time learning than I would like. My friend started on an F4i and loved it. I wish I made the same decision. I say this because I am a relatively small guy and the F4i is lower and you sit in a much less aggressive riding position which makes things much more comfortable.
Good luck & ride safe.

I started on a gsxr 600 and I loved it. It is a 2003 and has a very comfortable ride compared to my friends RR and my R6. It doesnt feel as aggressive as the R6 and RR on corners but you dont need that with your first bike too much. My vote goes to 01-03 model gsxr 600
thank you for all your advice guys, its real useful, and those links give great adivce, yea im realitivly small, 5'6" 160 pounds, so it looks like the F4i would be a good start, i dont want anything really crazy, something great to start off on, im also looking at the GSXR600, a friend of mine also suggested a Kawasaki ninja 500.
Thank you guys
Thank you guys
