Default p28 modified or not

I'm looking at buying a P28 ecu for my 90 civic. Looking at rywire they have 'chipped' p28 or virgin p28. if my goal is to eventually go to hondata which one is better to get?

i'm in the midst of a mini me to my 90 civic.

why not use crome?

I'd assume if it's chipped it's socketed. If so, then you want to go that route for crome. I have no experience with hondata so i can't tell you which for that one.

I love crome If your going with hondata S100 or S200 get the chipped ECU. If going with S300 get the unchipped. The S300 uses header pins while the others use a ROM and a socket.

to be honest you can get into crome pro with a burner or a real time emulator (moates ostrich) and a wideband for less the a S300 ECU alone, if you dont get the wideband its about the same price for s100 or s200, but you can always try crome free minus the datalogging and get a rom burner for just the price of the rom burner.
