I checked out a 98 type R today and forgot to ask the owner if the shift ****/boot has an optional upgrade, because the shift **** was leather, instead of titanium and i think the shift boot was black without red stitching. So is it an upgrade or the owner probably changed it? I forgot to ask him before i said bye to him.

 

97-98 come with leather ***** with red stitching.

all 97-01 come with black shift boots. no red stiching.

Red stitched boots only came on 98 Spec JDM ITRs (and CTRs)

Just out of curiousity. Are the jdm and usdm boots made out of different material? Is the jdm one more high quality or is the only difference just the red stitching?

 

Same material, just red stitching sown by the hottest JDM girls.

 

and to think that people in the UK, who actually see real JDM DC2R's every day tell me that even the JDM doesn't have the red stitching...

I guess it's either 98spec like said, or type-Rx only maybe?
