Default HASPORT b16a a/c bracket?

has anyone used the HASPORT a/c bracket. the one that allows you to use your stock compressor? will it work if I have HCP mounts? also, are there any clearance issues when installing the engine (b16)?

Don't take my word for it, but I'm sure if I bump up your post someone will give you the definate answer. I "think" that HCP makes its own A/C bracket, and I think that the hasport will work with the HCP kit also.

Yeah it works good. I saw it in person swapped in a civic with b16a with ac. But I dont know if it would work with your hcp mounts. Only way to find out buy it and try.

this is a cut/paste of another thread in which I posted this, you might find it helpful and cheaper than buying those expensive brackets

assuming that your car had operational A/C before you did the swap, you have a few options. Some of the makers of the mount kits also make A/C brackets to adapt your stock A/C compressor to the B16 Engine. Such as Hasport, Place Racing etc. I would reccomend buying the bracket from the Co. that made your mounts, because they make the braket work with their mount kit. Others may work fine, I don't know. Or you can do like I did. If your B16 was from an integra XSi and came with the XSi A/C bracket, AND your A/C compressor is the SANDEN. two of the bolt holes will line up with that bracket, I made another bracket to support the rear of the compressor, its not hard, just use a little inginuity. Beats forking out $200 just for a bracket, especially in my case where I had to buy a new compressor as well. The SIR bracket is slightly different and only one of the bolt holes line up. I would not reccomend using this bracket because of poor crank pulley/A/C compressor alignment. It would probably squeal, and chew up the belt being misaligned
