Default 4th gen climate control removal

Hey guys, anyone know how to remove it? i think i may have a broken spring inside cause its not allowing me to put the heat to the hottest setting, so id like to open it up and have a look. Any idea's of how to remove it? I think i tried once but i was scared to brake something. Does it clip in?

Thx Joey

the cable is getting caught on something, check to make sure it isn't kinked or snagged

there is a writeup on PO which i followed but i also could have used my helms.

its not that hard w/o instructions. just make sure you get all the screws.

and taking out the unit, you have to unscrew the tab holding down the climate control temp. which is kinda hard but you'll figure it out

do you mean it wont physically slide all the way to hot..

or do you mean when you slide it over, its not hot?

if its #2, which that happened to me, it was actually a little wire that was not connected to the blower above the passenger feet area.

^^^
Back side of the control unit or in the engine compartment on the firewall at the valve.
