Alright the engine bolted right up. Were trying to convert it to 0BD1 so we used the D15 Dizzy like you would for a mini me (dremeled out the holes to fit) so we got it all wired up all except the vtec which is easy, but the car wont start. it should run with out Vtec hooked up right? it turns over easy has spark and is getting gas but will not run, its sputtering like it wants to start... any ideas anyone?

Vtec doesn't have to be hooked up. Is it throwing any codes? Make sure the dizzy wiring is right. Also try loosening the dizzy and as you crank the engine turn the dizzy. If the engine starts, it means your timing is way off.

 

dizzy hasnt been touched its 0BD1 already just ran on a D15. tried turning dizzy while cranking still not starting.

update.. it wouldnt run on the D15 ecu so we put in a p28 and it starts but wont idle and wont rev up at all... no CELs either...

 

another update.. well we pulled all the bolts out of the dizzy started teh car wihle holding it rotated it clockwise past the limits of the bolt holes and we can get it to run fine... its very odd any ideas?
