Broken Hood latch
Damn this sucks, my hood latch is busted. I am not sure if it is the cable or what, but I can't even get it open to fix whatever it is wrong with it. I have tried using a tool to to hit the switch that opens it, but I have had no luck. Any ideas???

I had that happen with my EJ1. I'd recommend buying a new latch along with a new hood release cable. Then grease up the release mechanism on the radiator support. Best of luck.

What you greased it and then it allowed it to release easier?? Because right now I can't get the hood open to even find out what is wrong

No but you can hear it moving by the mechanism. So it is like it is disconected right at the mechanism

The latching mechanism itself, and it's under the hood. If the handle is broken, you might want to use a vice grip to pull the cable, so you can release it.

is this on an em2 ?</TD></TR></TABLE>
yeah it is like the cable is busted. The biggest problem is that finding out what is wrong should be no big deal I just need to get it open. I am going to take a new approach from under the car reaching up today, I will let you know how it works
