what material is the type r seats made out of?

Alcantra and some sort of woven nylon/cotton mesh.

I wouldn't trade the material in my alcantara seats for any other material--not suede or leather or some futuristic synthetic material that's worth millions of dollars per square inch. Alcantara ftw!
