Its been getting worse lately. Seems that now everytime I start my car, the first few minutes of driving, it likes to bog around 1500-3500 RPM then after 3500 rpm its like a rope snaps and the car just bolts.

I can hear the intake making a low growl noise when its bogging.

I have changed cap/rotor/plugs and did a seafoam last summer, and over the winter is when it got crappier. The only thing I havn't changed is plug wires yet, but when i changed the other parts i measured and the resistance was still within spec on them so I left it.

Got any ideas on what I should check? Does it cound like an O2 issue or clogged cat?

Now after driving around for a min or so, the bogging subsides and it drives pretty good, but isn't as responsive as it used to be.

only thing I havn't done is cleaned my egr (CEL 80) but from what I understand the EGR shoulnd't affect this should it?

 

Just do my egr test.
Find my tread on it.
It will tell you with $0 and 2 mins if the egr is failing, and I tell you how to fix it.

 

change your wires...dur. 99% positive thats where your problem is
