how much weight does CF hatch n hood save? EK
well on my EG using a VIS oem style hood, it took off about 15-20lbs easily maybe more...never weighed the CF hood before I installed it. All I know is it took me and my dad to remove the stock hood, and the only reason I needed his help with the CF one was to keep it aligned for bolting down.
there was a guy in the so cal forums parting out his 99 hath in exchange for OEM parts, go look around, if I find t soon I'll post it up.

the stock hoods are pretty heavy and if you are tryin to lighten up that piggy, a cf hood will help.
you wont notice much of a difference with the hatch though. They are already pretty light. its more of a looks thing i think.

Yes, i would think so. Though, i have never opened an EG hatch, i know that every other cars hatch weight 80bazillion pounds and struggly to hold it open (all of course had sweetly blown struts)
