Default Skunk2 Pro+2

Has anyone used these cams yet? Are they decent interms of gains? they will be put to use on a 12.2:1 B16b. just looking for some feedback from people who have used them (or what is better. Do note i wish to stay away from Toda).

I don't think it idles very well with a stock ECU:

True, then stick with stock cams. Problem solved.

A B-16B would probably like the Pro2. The rod length wants to fill the cylinder later, a good match for the Pro2.

I respect alot of your opinions expecially DonF given that he is a guru when it comes to this ****. HOWEVER, you guys make it seem that it is very easy to idle there cams when truely its not. My buddy runs the pro 1's on his built gsr and getting them to idle properly, on a consistant basis(day in and day out) was a task in itself. I'm not saying it cannot be done however they are very tempremental. Maybe someone should do a writeup on how to idle skunk pro series cams.

(pro 2's) mine idle perfect after the car is warm, just don't expect to have the luxuries of power steering and anything thats belt driven, that sucker stalls my car out when i turn the wheel without giving it gas.

but yeah, they really are easy to idle... if the thing wont then you have problems somewhere else. hell even tbones car idled like a champ w/those things

Currently running Pro2's, they have excellent midrange, but don't have the topend the BC5's did. They still rock up top, peak is currently at 8600rpms with 87.2mm stroke. I'm looking forward to testing out some Pro3's.

Mine idle at 850 smooth with no 'lumpyness'.

To get them to idle nice, you really need a tuning solution with real-time-programming so you can make changes on the fly. It also helps to prop the throttlebody open using the adjusting allen/nut just a hair, otherwise the IACV has a hard time compensating.

You wont be dissapointed

has anyone put the pro+2 in an s2000? I apparently have the first set that the distributor in Toronto has sold for an s2000 and now you all have me worried that im gonna have issues, also since this is going to be a daily driver.

Huh?

I didn't know Skunk2 made cams for the S2000.

I thought you mentioned a B16B...

i have the pro2's and the guy that tuned my car had to set the idle at like 1300 and that was before the itb's. now its at like 1500 which sucks but there is no one else i can take it to. also the cams are even harder to get to idle on an h22 so s2k maybe worse or better.
