WTT: 95 VTEC Del Sol for 98-up Civic LX or EX 4dr or Teg GSR 4 door.
Wife has decided she wants another 4 door after picking this one up today. Interested in 98 or newer LX or EX 4 door.
1995 Del Sol VTEC. Has Prior Salvage title due to minor front end collision. Was put together reasonably well. Gap between driver headlight and bumper cover and one of the hood gaps is a little wide. A couple of you have seen it and may think I'm being a little ****.... For mileage, I'll say 16X,XXX. Unfortunately, it appears it probably has way less as the mileage was 60,000 one day (after it was wrecked) then less than a week later it had around 150k on it. I have a feeling some punk swapped their high mile cluster in here for the low mile one.... Nothing can be done now so it has 160,000 on it....
Black metallic exterior with black seats with red stripe inside. No rips or holes in seats. Interior in very good shape. Piece between targa and windshield has the clear fogging up. Otherwise, paint looks pretty decent. Typical cracking on back bumper from fat asses like me pushing their legs against it when getting stuff out of trunk. One tiny (1/4" diameter) rust spot under the gas door; no rust anywhere else.
B16 just like it's supposed to have. This is an original VTEC Sol, not a swapped one.
VTEC brakes, and sway bars along with correct VTEC strut tower bar.
Polished valve cover (one in pics is not the one that will be on it; one on it will match cold air)
Polished full length cold air intake
4-1 header with 2.5" collector
2.5" flex pipe and 2.5" exhaust going through 2 resonators and a turbo muffler. Not totally quiet but not too loud.
ZEX spark plugs
Newer plug wires
Billet Camshaft seal
New valve cover gasket
NO oil leaks on the car.
NO grinds on trans EVER.
Shifter I think is stock?? Very short throw and very direct. Probably the nicest shifter Ihave fealt in a B car so far. Easy to find gears and hit them.
1 Piece headlights
Comes with the black chrome wheels pictured (kind of a silver but with a black tint...) They are 17's and the brand new tires have about 450 miles on them as of today. 99 percent tread.
Car drives excellent. Steering wheel straight when you are going straight, handles VERY well for a stock suspensioned car, and is a blast to drive. We drove it on a 300+ mile trip yesterday and I found that my bad back and large size (6 4 and 280 or so) did not make for a good combo in this car.
Car may come with or without stereo. Here's what's currently in it:
Nakamichi head unit (40Z if I remember right)
Memphis 500D amp on subs
Brand new JL Audio stealth box as of about a month ago
Orion 2 ways in front
MB Quarts in rear
Sounds pretty decent for a Del Sol. Could use more power on sub (1000D...)
Entertaining trades for clean, unmolested 4 doors. Don't need trucks, boosted hondas or any of that. Would probably consider a 4 door GSR, too.
