VIPER 791XV troubleshooting help
my son just dropped my keys in a bucket of water about an hour ago. i set it under a light so it could dry up. the remote still turns on just fine with a little bit of water spots in the screen. however, the remote says that the alarm is disarmed (showing the lock as "unlocked")
now i just need to know how do i reprogram the remote without messing with the alarm on the car at all if there is a possible way. what sucks is that i don't have the manual but i do remember reading that if the remote and alarm are not on the same rolling code, then to keep pressing the arm button on the alarm pad until the remote is transmitting to the alarm on the same code, but so far that's not working and it's chirping in sequence each time i press the arm button any single time. it chirps in this sequence, but i don't know if it's significant to anything. *beep beep*beep beep*beep beep*. can anybody help? i need to drive back home tonight, but i don't want to set off the alarm and start ripping through the hood and dash to bypass the alarm. anybody got any suggestions?? p

your going to need to locate your valet switch to program your remote
1. open a door
2. turn the key to the on/ignition position (dont start the car)
3. press the valet switch twice and on the second time hold on to the switch
4. while holding the switch down press a button on your remote/transmitter the system will chirp to verify you have programmed it successfully.
5. release the valet switch and your done.
