When I purchased my car it already had an OK set of GSR fat fives with 205 50 15 Kumho 711's(bleh). The GSR wheels were starting to fade so I decided to go back to the OEM swirlies but I couldn't find any for a CRX(Not to mention I would get reved on all the time! Was it the GSR wheels? Who knows). Then It occured to me that the first gen Preludes had almost the exact same wheels so I went junkyard hunting and found a nice set for $150. I didn't know that tires would be alot cheaper too.
What surprised me the most was how much lighter the car felt and how much better the car handled. It just felt like it lost some significat weight and I was very happy with the results. Anyone here sporting OEM wheels? What tire sizes did you go with and which ones offer the most comfort for daily driving in your Civic/CRX?
Here is what the car looked like with my old GSR fat fives. They were nice but I had to constantly be spraying them down with wheel cleaner and polish to keep them shiny.

And here it is with 14 inch Prelude Si wheels wrapped in 195 60 14's. The guy at Discount Tire was cool enough to recommend a tire size that would fill out the wheel well nicely and not look to bad. What do you guys think? An improvement?

Any input and suggestions are welcome!

Are there any advantages to running 195-60-14's? The wheel/tire combo is definitely lighter than the GSR combo. Even when my wife drove it she felt the difference and when turning the car at low speeds it feels much easier to turn(almost as if it had power steering support) hehe

205/50-15 and 195/60-14 are too big for your car. Get 185/60-14 for 14" wheels, or 195/50-15 for 15" wheels.

185 is the width of the tire, not the profile height correct?
If I go with that size I shouldn't notice a difference in looks compared to how it looks now or will I?

Correct.
When you have a tire size like 185/60-14, the tread width is 185 mm, the sidewall height is 60 percent of the tread width, and the wheel diameter is 14 inches.

185/60-14 has approximately the same outer diameter as your car's stock tire size (175/70-13 or 185/60-14, depending on year and model).

Thanks for the info. I can't take the tires back now since I have been riding on them for a while. I'll be sure to keep that in mind next time I buy tires.
Now onto my next question.
The clear coat on the wheels is almost gone. The only way I can make them look shiny is by applying a coat of lubricant or something like armor all platinum cleaner. I don't want to sand them down for the polished look. If anything I just want to restore the oem shine.
Can you guys recommend a product or process that can keep them looking new?
