I'm so frustrated with my car right now. it's been in hte garage for about a month and a half now becuase i cant get the brakes to get hard. me and my friend changed the wheel cylinders because they were shot and we changed the 87 crx brakes on the front to 89 civic si brakes ( i have an 89 civic si). we have put almost 2.5 quarts through the system but it still takes until the second pump to get hard. It's so frustrating because yesterday we did it and it took about 8 times to get hard, then towards the end of the night it took 3 or 4 pumps. then today it takes 2. but we've been doing this for weeks now and it just wont get hard on the first shot. my friend said it might be that we did something wrong when we bled it. we didnt do anythign unusual, kept the reservoir topped off, went RR, LR, RF, LF. it just wont grab on the first time. HELPPPP!!
