Default FOUND!!! Joe Housley's Trailer Stolen

Thank You for your concern and good Wishes!

We just got a call from one of the local Tow Yards Performance Place, who also happen to be Drag Racers, they were contacted to pick up an abandoned Trailer by the South Jordan, UT Police at approx 11400 South & 1400 West this morning. As soon as the trailer pulled in the lot one of the guys recognized it as Dad's and called him.

The side door locks were pried open and they stole jack stands, the radio, the cooler, a bunch of camp chairs, tie down straps and other small items. They did leave the large EasyUp, must have been to heavy... Dad and Ralph both figure they must have been hoping that there still was a car inside, Thank God there wasn't losing one recently was bad enough.

Thank You again for all of your support, we knew it would be found with help of racers our extended family.

As if loosing the car in qualifying at Vegas were not enough, we got a call from Jeremy who was down at the shop earlier today that the Trailer was missing. Sometime between about 9 last night when Ralph Perea my other half, who also happens to be the chassis builder next door to Dad, came home and this morning some one with a Dually Truck hooked up to the trailer and drove it out from behind the shop. We can tell it was a Dually from the tires marks they left going around the building.

If everyone could be on the look out for it we would greatly appreciate it. We are not exactly sure what the thieves intentions were, there was not much in the trailer. They fortunately had unloaded Ralph's Dragster out a few days earlier. The Sandy City, UT Police have been notified but they were so much help when the shop was broken in to and over $30K worth of parts were stolen a couple of months ago we are hoping the racing community can actually help. I know we all notice race car trailers going down the road no matter the place or time.

It is a 30 foot Haulmark, it is not the normal white trailer it is the smokey gray version. There are large XPlode decals are on both sides toward the end of the trailer as well as smaller decals of various other sponsors, Clutch Masters, RedLine, etc. It is very noticeably a race car trailer. I have attached a couple of pictures from a recent race.

Thanks for your help,
Carrie Housley

Damn that sucks bad. I hope we find these punks. If you find it, let us go take care of these punks before the police does. Damn i'm pissed. These dipshits problely think there is something in it. Once they find out its empty then they will leave it somewhere, hopefully undamaged. The laughs on them dumbasess!!

We had the same problem here. We knew who had been breaking into the shop, and they even had friends and employees calling to turn them in. My trailer got busted into and a bunch of stuff stolen out of it, and the shop had things stolen several times...and yet the police were not even interested in doing an investigation. The stolen goods were in their hands.

Sorry to hear Joe. Your luck will change. It only has one way to go at this point.

Hope you guys get it back. At least you can't really part it out or anything. I'll keep my eyes peeled for it since we get lots of traler traffic out here on weekends with all the guys riding 4 wheelers and dirt bikes out here.

Im not kidding about the gun,

This is getting way out of hand..

There is a reason i sleep with my 9mm under my pillow and my AR-15 leaning next to my bed.....

Just a question, is a garage that is attached to the house, still part of a house.
Meaning if someone breaks into your garage, do you have the right to shoot them, like you do if they break into your house?
If that is the case, i am going to find a way to attach my trailer to my house also..

It is so sad that imature little punks can ruin this for all of us.
We do this cause it is our luv, passion, hobby, and for some there profession.
We Take it to the track to keep it off the Streets, and the Streets seem to come back and haunt us....

So Sorry For all your bad luck Joe.....

WE are all here for ya.

Shoot bad guy with AR15
Put 9mm in his hand
punch yourself in the face
He assaulted me, threatened me with my own gun, and got owned.

nope because you are protecting property. However, in FL you are allowed to shoot to protect property. I think TX just passed the same law not too long ago. I'm hoping MN will do the same soon.
