Default best 6.5s with a $800 limit?

im looking at buying a pare of 6.5s in about a month, i have a limit of about $800. the best ones i have herd to this point are the DIAMOND AUDIO S600s . I think they are about $800 but i know there are many more brands out there. if its a little more then 800 go ahead and post it but please include a price. also only vote if you have herd the speaker and love it! i know there are many more out there but here are a few to get you started, top of the line on most of the major brands

Go to an audio store that has a stage setup where u can listen to them in person. Focals, Seas, Rainbows are well known brands also. Go to the store and listen to them in person. 800$ limit would give u a big variety of options.

What you hear in the store is not what you are going to hear in your car. I use to make baffel for my boards when i worked at cc. Try to find a shop that has a demo car and go from there. I seen and heard less expencive componets perform better then high-end. What Are you trying to build

build? I just want something that sounds good. So many times ive bought speakers thinking they would be enough. then 2 days later im buying some better because i hear all the imperfections in the one i have. They sound too dry, too flat or whatever. Im prob the worst audiophile in existence what can i say. so far my fave ive herd on a sound board was the S600S but i guess that doesn't say much because there are so many more to hear.

i went through alpine spx-177R (type-x) speakers and didnt like them. the tweeters are nice but just not enought midbass. i had the cdt hd-62 with upstage image tweeters and they were smooth, but lacked a little bass. i stepped up to cdts top of the line setup which is the es-07.2 and they are amazing! so much bass that i dont need a sub in the car.

for what its worth.., look into the dynaudio system 240 mk2 or DLS iridium components.

There is no match for the DYNAUDIO compontents. Tweeter fits perfectly in the stock location (for civics and tegs with seperates) and they sound amazing. You cant even tell that you have aftermarket speakers in the doors with these

I'd check out CDT Audio. I have EF-61 model and it rocks. But you could buy about 3 sets with $800... Their more expensive stuff could be even better.

Go with the Boston Z6. They are as cheep as 499 now. For that price you cant get a better speaker that will produce campariable caliber of imaging.

JL Audio ZRs, if you don't want to spend that much, get XRs, they're great as well for about half the price.
