*Just bought 97 civic HX & need owners manual/repair advice
Hello,
As a female, I'm not too knowledgeable about cars.
The car I bought has 108800 miles on it. The previous owner did nothing but change oil, battery, tires and muffler.
I'd like to find an online copy [free] of the owners manual. Does that exist?
I'm thinking I should take it in to have the timing belt changed. Is that correct?
And, at the same time should I have the water pump changed?
Anything else?
Thanks for your kind help.
Mrs. J.

Generally, when you change your timing belt, you would also want to change the Water pump, and all belts, just for preventive maintenance, and you are already in the process, it would just be more sensible.
I always had a buddy do my timing belt for me, just because I can't.
If you are a DIY person, I'm pretty sure you would find the "Helms" manual really helpful, however, they are like the 4 leaf clovers of repair manuals. Not to be confused with Haynes now.
Good luck
