right now im lookin around for a car to drop my K20a2 ive got laying in my garage. it came outta my 02 DC5 that i miss shifted in and ive done replaced the motor and ive ordered a new head for the motor in the garage and im gonna put integra Type R pistons or go back to stock type s pistons but anyways right now im looking around at like 89 or so 2 door hatchback. i want to do sumthing diffrent and im expecting to do alot of work to wat ever i choose to drop it in. ive got a wireing harness ecu the matching switch to the ecu that came with my new motor that i order for my dc5. im gonna make my own motor mounts. but i need some ideas for a car ive thought of a crx but there is a few of them already around here that are pretty well mean. but any one have any ideas for a car?

well im also jus interested in how much work it will be i know its gonna be a **** load but i think i am gonna get the 89 hatch but im jus affraid it wont fit but i think it should
its going to be the same amount of work no matter which body style you go with...hatch,rex,or sedan...the fronts are all pretty much the same...yes the motor physically fits...however u need to remove and weld in a new passenger side bracket as well as grind down your rear crossmember for the tranny to clear...also u must relocate the brake proportion valve to the firewall...you might also need to fabricate something for the shifter...i dont know if anybody makes anyhting for em yet you have to research that for yourself...
its actually not hard at all...since you said u will be making your own mounts i assume that you are mechanically inclined and should be able to pull it off with a little bit of thinking and work...the cost is the main thing that keeps people from doing the swap..but since u already got the motor i say go for it
for wanting a hatch...CRXs are for suckas hahaha jk

I myself would go with a CRX, being that I have one already, lol. I dont care for sedans but I must say that would be an awesome project and if done right would probably get you a mag cover. I havent seen or heard of a K20sedan so it would be different.

once i get the car im gonna start using auto cad and design everything on it i can get all the metal i need that isnt gonna be an issue and i know u have to move the motor mount on the passenger side the only reason im making my own motor mounts is cuz i dont feel like spending 800bucks for some by hasport (if they even make them for this swap) but i figure i can figure out everything on autocad after i have the car here. but its gonna be easy for me to figure out what i need to do once ive got the car here and the motor back together. but ive got a grinder and welder so im good there and i know a few people that can help me out with the hole wiring issue and all and i do have the service manul for 02 to 04 rsx type s so if i have problems with wiring any where that will help me out alot!

well the reason im not gonna spend the money on mount is i can build them things for cheaper than 800 bucks i think its stupid to spend that much money one sumthing that u can build your self. which im gonna do and ill eventually buy a k pro and im also looking and this ecu called the mega squirt that it is featured in import tuner issue 91 that u build your own ecu for less than $200 im still looking around but id love to do a crx but people around here want to much for them soo im lookin at old civic hatchbacks just because there cheap around here but im hoping maybe one day i will get a cover issue in a magazine i think that would be pretty cool

That's a DA. And yes, there were GSRs available, which had the B17.
