I've tried the BFGoodrich Drag Radials. The grip is excellent!. Its basically a slick compound in a DOT approved street tire.

The BFG's and Nitto's seem to be pretty similar. I've run the BFG's and I know people who have run the Nitto's. The main good thing about them is that they are both fairly streetable so you can drive them to/from the track, while hooking bettter than normal street tires. If you get the BFG's, then get a good burnout on them before you stage, mine liked to be really hot.

The Hoosier's are a totally different product; they are not streetable (no treads) and mine hooked as well as my Hoosier slicks (1.8s 60' on a 2750 pound coupe, slipping the clutch). These are racing tires designed to be legal in a DOT-tire class. I recommend them, but never for the street. I carried mine in the trunk and changed them in the drag strip parking lot. These are much better than the BFG's or Nitto's.

I haven't used the MT's, and I don't know anybody personally that has, but I've heard that they are very good.

Also check the drag racing forum; there should be more people there that can give you some drag-tire specific information.

I run the BFGs and they are a really good balance between street/strip. Prior to getting them I had terrible wheel hop. Once I put the BFGs on that all went away. I would say they were much easier to get sticky in the beginning. Now it seems I have to do a little longer burnout for them to be effective.

Just try and not get caught in the rain with them. I got caught in the rain once with them and it does not feel safe.

Overall I am very happy with them and will buy them again when the time comes.
