how do you check a iacv while its not on the car

Default how do you check a iacv while its not on the car

ive tried 3 different ones one came off my single cam that worked fine last week

any way to make sure they are working good with out putting them on the car i have 2 other ones that are supposidly good

put a power and a ground to it and see if it opens and closed.

it will "click" when touched to a 12v source if its good. dont hold it there too long.

alright the iacv i had on there was good but still throws a code and im 99.9% sure i have the correct plug on it

it does not surg unless its first thing in the morning and it surges for a couple min and its a fast surge

maybe it got air stuck in it and i cant get it out any tips?

spray it w/ carb cleaner also make sure its the right plug. the map sensor plug will fit it too and they r right next to each other
