Default quick question concerning HF using DA knuckles

I have a bone stock '91 CRX HF.

My buddy has a junk DA he is about to get hauled off and I want to use the disc brakes on it.

I plan on driving the car everywhere i go and not towing it.

If i put the DA knuckles on the front, I'm pretty sure the HF axles won't work. Does anyone have different info on this? If I'm right, would I be able to put some SI or DX axles in where I can drive my car home, then later to the shop where I can put my B series in?

thanks for the help

cliffsnotes= will stock HF axles work with DA knuckles? if not, will stock SI/DX axkes work with DA knuckles (still on stock HF motor/tranny)

if your swapping in a b-series, you need 90-93 integra axles anyways. D-series axles wont work. Also you need different knuckles anyways as the stock HF knuckles wont except the 90-93 integra axles. So, if I was you i'd put the 90-93 integra knuckles in along with the proportoining valve and brake booster/master cylinder.

i don't think you understand my question at all. Please read my whole post. I know what it takes to drop the B series in. The question I'm asking is what D series axles are needed to run the stock HF motor in the crx with the DA knuckles. I have to be able to drive the car around where I can drive it to the shop where I will eventually drop my B16 in.

Yes dx/si axles will work with the da knuckles. the hf axles however will not work

dx/si hf/std axles have the same size inner part of the axles however the out part of the axles is where they differ.

Correct answers rock!

I did this swap on my old CRX HF. I even used 4 door ef axles. Wait till you feel how much the big brakes cause the HF to accelerate slower. Don't forget to get an alignment.

the big brakes shouldn't be too much of a problem with 260+ WHP on hand all motor

I dont mean to jack your thread but does that mean you can use da knuckles instead of ef ex knuckles to mount a 5lug hubs up front?

EX and DA spindles run the same calipers and discs.

With the correct caliper bracket (Accord Wagon, etc) you could run ITR sized brakes.

I do not know what is required to press in 5 lug hubs. You can probably just swap in a bearing with the correct inside diameter or machine the hubs to the correct size.
