Default MPFI swap, STILL have a code 4.

finished (yeah, right) swap. car wouldn't start, ecu blinking a code 4.

went through test procedure with multimeter - all circuts pass.

final step is "replace ecu with a known good ecu."

did that (thanks, Got_soy! ).

still no start, still code 4.

re-checked all wires/pins in plugs for correct location. what the hell am i missing, guys?

i was having the same problem with mine...turns out i had accidently spliced into b12 and b14 instead of b10 and b12...might not be your situation, but its definitely something to check...have you tried another distributor?

well, fixed the code 4.

still no start. no power at fuel pump or injector resistor box.

no power output on main relay. pulled out, checked solder connections, re-soldered. still no power output on main relay.

ordered new main relay, waiting. (should be here tomorrow).

one of the pins (b12) wasn't making a connection. to add insult to injury, it was one that was already in the plug - i didn't install it there; Honda did.

are all your underdash connectors hooked up...i had to replace the harness in my 91 and them one i bought was from an 89...there were 5 connectors left over that had no counterpart...and for some reason my main relay was getting power to allthe pins except for the fuel pump...i wired the fuel pump directly to the battery and installed a switch...it works but i need to remember to turn it off everytime i shut off the car
