Anyone Race on a Track?
What's up everyone I've been riding bikes for 2 years now. My first bike was a Yamaha R6 my 2nd bike was a Honda 929 Both very nice bikes. Now I want to learn how to ride on a track and "get low" anyone know where to look for where to take courses on track riding or were to start looking.
I live in PA. Any help is aprecaited.

(this one I've tried and I liked it, but there are many others out there that have good reviews too)
They have events at Pocono Raceway in PA. Not sure how close that is to you. If you look in the back of "Road Racer X" or "Road Racing World" (both should be available at your local newstand), they have trackschools listed in the back, near all the ads.

I'd recommend doing one of the more structured schools like Cali SBK or Penguin before doing something like NESBA. NESBA is good but they don't have any classroom instruction and the beginner's orientation is peremptory at best. Get a foundation in one of the more formal schools, then play with NESBA, STT, etc.

I'd actually recommend TPM art basic over penguin, as penguin is a racing school.
Run a day with http://www.TeamPromotion.com at either beaver run(i've never been there) or Pocono and take the ART basic course. From the track day organizations I've seen around here in the North East I still think TPM has the best basic school.
STT today at Pocono east was a crash fest, at least 20 that I counted, with 2 air lifts and one rider whose helmet supposedly came off during his cold tire highside. I hope everyone was alright but it was absolutely insane.

Definitely do Beaverun for your first event. There's a good amount of runoff room there if you fall. I went off at turn 1 yesterday and I feel great!

you went off on a bike or in a car?
nesba is not a bad place to start out. I started out there, and if you talk to the instructors there, they will help you out. there are some really nice guys out there, you just need to utilize them.
