1999 Honda Civic EX - 2 Door, MT, Fixed up - Orange, CA Area
Hello.
I have a 1999 Honda Civic EX in good condition. It's a manual transmission, coupe in White. The Engine is running without any problems and it passed emissions the last time I checked. The car has had it's oil changed regularly at either Honda or Jiffy Lube (When I was short on time). I got it mechanically checked out by Mike's Automotive (09/06) and the mechanic couldn't find anything wrong with it.
I used it mostly for commuting to and from school on Highway miles. There is 119,8xx on it. The reason why I am selling this car is because I just graduated from College and I am a young working professional now. I bought an Accord EX-V6 to replace this car, which is much nicer when I have to meet clients.
It's got new:
1) New Battery - Installed in July 06 ($60)
2) Timing Belt Replaced Recently, less than 10,000 miles ($230)
3) New Tires - Installed in July 06 ($400)
4) New Rims - Installed in July 06 ($550)
5) Replaced Radiator - 21,000 k ($500)
6) New Distributor - 21,000 k ($210)
7) New Adjustable Onmi Full Coilovers (Not Struts/Springs Setup) - 4,000 k ($650)
8) New Brakes/Rotors - Dec. 05 - ($250 for parts and labor)
9) New Sony MP3/WMA Radio - ($175)
It gets about 34 miles per gallon in the city, and up to 38 miles per gallon on highway. I am really into cars, so this car has some styling options. It's also well maintained and never raced (I wrecked my first car and was scarred for life)

The History:
I bought this car used back in 01, with 60k on it. Since then... I put on another 60k miles from commuting to and from school as well as going on road trips. I DO NOT RACE. Which is why I never tampered with the engine. However, there are some incidents that are worth noting.
1) Accident - It was a minor accident involving the driver side rear panel. A trunk bumped against me as I was pulling up to a traffic light. I never found the time to get it repaired professionally
2) Theft - I had Honda Civic OEM 16" HFP rims and Fuzion Tires. I got my car stolen from me on the very last day of my college career. The theives took my Kenwood Radio too, which is why my rims, tires, and radio are brand new. They backed my car into something... which left a big scratch/dent in the rear bumper. Everything mechanically damaged was repaired by Honda.
3) I accidently broke the visor clip and the ash tray socket.
4) And of course, there's scratches and dings from normal wear.
In Conclusion:
This is a great commuter car for a student or a starter project for import buffs. I really love this car and I really hate to see it go. I didn't want to sell it to the dealers because I know they would offer me a ridiculously low price... which I rather pass it on to make another kid happy. The insurance on this was very cheap compared to other cars out there (less than 90 bucks a month).
I'm open to listen to offers, but please do not waste my time and your time with low-balling offers. Kelly Blue Book listed this car as "FAIR" condition for $5,480, meaning the car requires mechanical AND cosmetic service. Since the car is mechanically fine, I also priced it at "GOOD" condition of $6,255 and found a meeting point. The first picture is a picture with my new rims. The other three are pictures before the theft.
Thanks for looking!
