Help!!!
I just purchased a 95 honda civic 1.5 sedan. The person that sold me the car saids it's an ex but i inpputted my vin # online and it said my cars an lx, who or wat is right? also my temperature gauge isn't working, I already replaced my coolant temperature sensor and it worked for a day then the next day it didn't work properly if i'm idling it'll go up a bit but when i put it into first gear it'll drop back down and won't move an inch. it could be a wiring problem. but if anyone else has any thoughts i would be very greatful to know wat everyone thinks. thank you very much
Peace,
Chuzz

check the grounds in the engine bay-especially the one on the thermostat housing.

thanks for letting me know it's an LX, and i do have a shop manual doesn't help
, I already cleaned the grounds on the thermostat because it was corroded and nothing, i made sure all the grounds or intact and they are. made sure there aren't any wires grounding that aren't suppose to be. It could still be the possiblity of the ground wires or i was thinking the ECT switch or the thermostat itself. thanks again for helping. I really appreciate it.

do you or a friend have another gauge cluster you could try?
i once did have a similar problem in my hatch.the temp gauge fluttered or wouldn't work at all.finally it completely quit.
after pulling the cluster out,i found that the wire winding on the temp gauge assembly had broken.replaced the temp gauge assembly and it worked fine.
