advantage of octane
I've got an s300 in my lude which i am very happy with, still learning so i'm in the playing with it stage. My question is how do i take advantage of 98 octane, i've heard you shouldn't advance your spark anymore than you have to but i want to know how much is to much, should i just advance it untill it pinks and then pull it back a little?

price of fuel is **** over here, you buy a high performance car and shell out for the high insurance then you try to buy the highest quality fuel you can to protect your engine and they charge £1 a litre, i live in scotland, we produce more oil than any other european country and we pay more for our fuel, it sucks. anyway back the question, can i take advantage of my higher octane by advancing my igntion or is that the wrong way to go?
