i recently put some 6.5" jl audios in my doors. my best advice to doing tis is just do what i did and go to your local audio store and buy a pair of plastic 1" spacers to replace your door dins. (they coast me 15 bucks and came with self tapping screws) instead of making new dins out of mdf. and no matter what any one tells you, because i tried, you cant just cut out the basket and fit them in because the ring of the din is to small.
anyway. i just put this up here for someone to use if they were trying to figure out how to put their 6.5" speakers in the doors.

 

You actually have a pretty good speaker... http://www.soundstream.com/speakers-xstream.htm and if installed properly will sound as good or better then the others you mention. 94
