Default Hub-Centric Ring Question

Winter comes soon, and the steelies need to get on soon enough. Have a set I bought for my old Jetta, but never used them. They're 4x100, et 42 and all that good stuff, but the hub-centric rings were made for VW's, or at least I was told. Do I need to knock these out and get Honda/Acura specific ones, or does it really not matter at all?

TIA
