Need help in determining how many deggres of chamber i should fix my car to.
hey whats going on. I lowered my daily driver. I'm not looking to spend a lot of cash on it but i was wondering if there was a chart that would show if u lower your car ____ inches then your chamber is _____ degrees off. So i put tenzo springs on my integra that I had around my garage. I know its not the best springs but they've been sitting in my garage for about 3 years so i decide to use them. They say they lowere the car about 2.25 to 2.5 inches. anyways so i was planning on doing both the front and rear camber adjustment with washers. I figured out each washer is about .5 degrees. So how many degrees should I adjust it. This is just my daily driver I don't want to spend the extra cash on a real chamber kit. I've done it in the past like this before. just looking for a little extra help to get it as accurate as possible. Thanks for the help.

You should adjust it to factory spec. I'm not saying that you need to, but just answering your question.

How did you figure that out? You measured the camber before and after the installation of the washer?

How are you going to get it accurate when you don't know what your current camber is? Camber depends on the suspension of the car; and if you have any bent suspension parts, camber will be affected. Even if you did have a chart showing drop vs. camber, the results would not be accurate because your drop is

How would the chart help you in this case? It wouldn't. The only way to get an accurate camber reading is to take the car to an alignment shop and have them measure it. Or you could do it the cheap way and measure it yourself.

well i'm looking for an approximate because shops won't install washers to adjust chamber but if i can get it within one degree then the shop can adjust the rest. i'm just looking it to get it as close to oem camber which is 0 in the front and -1 in the rear.

all i'm looking for is ppl that lowered there car around 2 to 2.5 incehs about how many degrees was ur camber off so that way i can try to adjust it within a degree then have a shop fine tune it.

If the shop won't install washers, how would they adjust the camber? Camber is NOT adjustable without a camber kit.
Get yourself one of these and measure the camber yourself if you really insist on messing with it. I'm agreeing with Tyson: leave the camber alone. I'm still curious as to how you figured out each washer is .5 degree.

omg why are ppl so dumb. all i want to know is approximately how many degrees of camber my car is off. i know about my camber kits my other car is lowered 3.5 inches and i have skunk2 camber kit. All i want to know is about how many degrees my other car is off. And i looke up the washer specs. if you have the washer that thick it is .5 degrees.
It is possible to adjust camber without a kit. I've done it before. I know how to do it. For more information on this search honda-tech. The thread is not about how to adjust camber. Its for a aproximation of degrees of camber a car is off when it is lowered so many inches
If you're talking about bending the knuckle, its really not such a great idea. Why not just leave your camber where it is? unless you're stupidly low, the negative camber won't be a huge deal.
If you're not hearing the answers you want, there's a possibility that nobody knows, or nobody can provide an accurate answer. In which case, you could do everyone else in your situation a favor, and test it out and do a write-up on your solution.

Nobody's going to tell you an exact number. So what more do you want? You got your approximation.

You're hilarious. So you're looking for more "ppls" guesses? I already said why you won't get it exact, and I don't see how anybody else would be able to get any closer, especially when you don't give any info about your car. It's an integra; that's a lot of info. And if you didn't know, the milage on the car and the roads it's been driven on will affect camber as well. So if your camber was off to begin with, and when you do find out how much it changed due to the drop, what are you doing to do then? Set it back however much it changed? You'll still be off, just like you were off in the beginning. I don't see the point of doing this.
Do as tyson suggested and leave the camber alone. Or get yourself an angle gauge (posted a link a while back), and measure the camber yourself. If you're really cheap, use the angle gauge and then go return it. That will save you 5 bucks.

or i can figure out about how much other ppl adjusted there camber get it to the approximate level and then have the shop adjust the rest... why are you flaming this thread so much... thats what i love about honda tech. 99999999999 ppl that don't know what there talking about and 1 that does.

I asked you this a while back, and you still haven't answered:
If your shop won't adjust camber with washers, how are they going to "fine tune" it? There is no way to adjust camber without a camber kit. Ok, so you found a way to do it with washers, but if the shop won't do it that way, there's no other way to adjust it.

You're close. It's 2 people that know what they're talking about. That would be me and Tyson. I'm assuming that you included yourself when counting those 99999999999 people.
All I'm asking you to do is to answer my question.

shops can tune camber without a washer. how do u think they do it on oem cars. They can only adjust it to do it slightly. And why would i want to pay a shop to put in washers which I could do and then just pay them the normal 70 bucks to fine tune the camber. Have you never brought an oem car to get a camber adjustment. Theres no camber kits there.... but they still adjust off camber...
