I just picked up an EK that needs a new front bumper. The front of the car has nothing in front of the radiator support. Is there supposed to be a bumper reinforcement there? Or can I just bolt on the plastic bumper cover in front of the rad. support?

It is a '97 DX hatch.

 

yea there should be a bumper reinforcement along with i think its styrofoam that goes over the reinforement bar..but if you wanna be dangerous like me..i had an accident and had to lose those..so now its just bumper cover over the core support

 

So I can bolt up the bumper cover over the radiator support with no reinforcement and the bumper will sit straight and look OK?

 

yea i think the car just keeps u safe during an accident..
