Default repainting the ole' valve cover

i repainted my valve cover back in july, and it turned out really good. only thing is, now the paint is starting to bubble up, i'm supposing from heat. since it now looks like ****, the purpose of repainting it has been defeated, and i'm curious if any of you know which / what kind of paint would be a good replacement. i know that high-temp. paint will work, but the color variety is very limited(black, grey, bright red). any suggestions?

oh, here's a picture of what it looked like while it was still pretty good.

thanks in advance.

in all of the valve covers ive painted or seen painted ive never had heat problems with the paint...
probably spilled some coolant or brake fluid on it or something....

from what i can tell the car is white, so i think any color would probably go.

um i used high temp paint on my V6 intake manifold, and here is how it turned out and this is how it still looks today, i think the only way to go is with high temp paint. nothing else will work because the heat will always cause the paint to detereate(sp) anyways here is what it looks like right now.

well it's deteriorate, but not necessarily with the high temp paint. I painted some stuff with some other spray I had in the engine bay (no not to rice) and it's doing just dandy, I'm going with something probably was spilled on it which caused it to bubble. I would say if you're really worried about it just powder coat the sucka whatever color you want
