Alarm decides to go off today

Default Alarm decides to go off today

Well i bought a 94 civic ex about 7 months ago and the person didnt have the remote for the security system. so eveything was fine until today when it decides to go off and i cant disarm it. i disconnnected the battery and called honda but they said it was disconintued. Just wondering how to disarm it and if i can go get a remote somewhere

You shouldn't have a factory alarm, only factory keyless. Unless they had the factory security installed at the dealership.... Do you know if it's factory or aftermarket?

its factory it says honda on the control unit on the control unit. but i got it to disarm i forgot about the valet. But yea i meant keyless entry. now i just gotta work on getting a remote

You should be able to pick up a remote on ebay. Then all you need is the factory head unit to program the remote.

factory head unit as in stereo?i just searched ebay and they didnt have remotes but i did find this place called keylessride.com. they sell factory copies. but do i need a factory headunit to program it

As far as I know. With the 96-98's, the brain is in the radio, and you use a couple of the buttons to program it. I'm not sure with your year. Consult the dealer.
