mah boi at honda sai dat shiet swaps right in. You just need the mounts, turbo, ecu, head, manifold, all lines, radiator, tranny, and a TIG welder

And no, I couldn't find ANYTHING on the turbo iteself.
My guess is small though. Maybe a KKK series or IHI. Something in the K06 range.

has an ajustable vane. Basically it closes at low RPM to speed up exhaust gases velocitys too spool it up, then opens up later on for max boost

there you go,
very nice concept for that vehicle. and hey, kyle, it actually LOOKs like a vehicle, has AWD and turbo

lol..for 37k Id rather get something else
If it was in the 27-28k range it would be mightly tempting as a second vehicle/tahoe duties
Since it is a variable turbo, me thinks honda may have engineered it in house. The may only outsource the housing of it
edit: I just read some more on acuras website. Sounds like it could be a twin-scroll type inlet on the turbo. At low RPM the valve will just let the exhaust gases pass through a single side of the inlet, then open up to allow it to fully flow at higher RPMs
If thats the case, they could get away with using a OTS turbo and using their spiffy valve inline. So it could be a IHI or MHI turbo

No, the RDX doesn't use a VATN turbo.
It has a valve in the exhaust to raise exhaust pressure to spool the turbo up faster. When it gets all steamed up the valve opens/closes for higher flow.

Sounds like me
Yah, the turbo itself isnt variable, I've said that
(like the porches where the turbine blades actually adjust)
Me thinks its like vtec for turbos (single cross over point, boost activated)
Likely a twin scroll like I said, at low RPMs all exhaust goes through 1 side, at higher rpms (boost), the valve opens up and it runs like a twin scroll would
Of course honda wont say that, they gotta make it sound more difficult than it really is

Its going to be great when people swap over the RDX engine into a EG then ask on honda tech
"Man, my turboz is broken, I cant hear the vtec-trubo crossover"
"get an intake dawg, I hit mad vtec-turbo, its like whizzzzz-WHIZZZZZ"
