info on parts to make b18c5 w/ b16a head project work
i'm about to put a b18c5 block with a GSR tranny and a b16a head into my 94 civic ex. the head is coming right off my last engine. it's pretty much stock. what i need to know is:
1) what other parts will be needed to make the engine run at it's best. should i invest in a new throttle body?
2) what injectors would do the job?
3) should i go with JDM type-r cams or go for somehting along the lines of skunk2?
4)should i upgrade my intake manifold or will the one from my b16a handle well?
5) if i should unpgrade the manifold, what's a good suggestion on an upgrade?

DON'T BOTHER WITH THE THROTTLE BOSY. SHAVE THE HEAD OR GO FOR A THINNER GASKET FOR MORE COMPRESSION

STOCK, AND GET AN ADJUSTABLE REGULATOR

IF YOU HAVE A C5 HEAD, JUST USE THE C5 CAMS.

KEEP THE B16. THE ITR MANIFOLD WILL GIVE YOU MORE TOP END, BUT THE LOW AND MID POWER WILL SUFFER.

thanx. what's the highest compression one can go with my combo without detonation or upgrading to race fuel? i thought 11:1 but one of my friends with a trick integra said 12:1. also, the shop i'm buying the b18c5 block from said scoming with al the nessicary parts, the compression is going to be 11:1. would it still be a good idea to shave the head or leave as is? thanx again.
