Sorry, trying to keep costs down, only willing to pay $50 for a floor harness - I can get it at the local junkyard for $40, but I have to pull it out - I don't have the time.

You need to specify the year of your car and body style...the 96-98 floor harnesses aren't compatible with 99-00. And 4-door is obviously a bit differnt from coupe/hatch

If you got a line of floor harness for $40 you might as well take it! I doubt anyone on here will give you a better deal, not to mention you reduce your risk of getting ripped off by buying locally...
FYI if you're doing the power doors conversion don't even consider doing it w/o the floor harness...

There are several links on here about how to do it w/out the foor harness.. it's not that bad.

But I DO need the door harnesses.

ANYONE?

Well, to each their own...
But I can't imagine why you'd want to jerry rig all those wires and still risk something not working right when you could do it easily & properly for cheap.
It is your time/money to do what you want with it, I'm just trying to help you avoid the aggravation. Some people like to write to brag about the DIY they did that noone else did, that doesn't make their way smarter, better, or even cheaper. I know others who did their own power door wiring in an EK and really regretted doing it. With the harness it's cake, especially if you don't have a DX hatch.

What I read was that you only had to run a handfull of wires from the drivers side P/W switch to the passenger side.. throw them in a loom and ziptie them up out of the way, and that's not jerry-rigged IMO.

However, I am new to Hondas... What do you mean by the DX comment? I have a DX hatch... is there a shortcut or something?

I guess it depends on how far your trying to go with it. If you're only doing power windows I don't know, but if you're doing the locks & mirrors like the full door package there's alot more to it than a handful of wires from one side to the other...you have a gaggle of wires going from the fuseblock to the door, and the mirror control connector is in the floor harness.

The power door harnesses have different connectors on them, they will not plug into your current floor harness, which only has a 2-wire connector for the speaker wires.

The thing with the DX hatch is it has the rear wiper, it's a bit more difficult (but not that bad really) when integrating an EX coupe harness you need to pull the rear wiper wires from your stock floor harness and add them into the coupe harness. That's all I was referring to. If I were you I'd go all the way with the full power package it's one of the best things I've done to my car yet, I love it.

Ah, see... I'm only doing power windows. My viper alarm has the power lock actuators, so that's not necessary.

And I never really got power windows... if you have your seat the way you like it, and the mirrors set the way you like them, you should never have to adjust them (unless you knock them off track cleaning them, but that can be avoided).

I don't mind manual mirros. So I really only have to run 4-5 wires from the driver's side switch to the passenger side, AFAIK.

Still looking for door harnesses though!

Yeah I just always hated those stalks sticking out with manual mirrors...without them you can get the factory tweeter pods which is cool. But good luck on the windows, I don't know how your wiring will go but installing the mechanical stuff is still pretty easy too.

Keep this going. I'd like to be able to roll my windows down in my car sometime soon. Somebody hook me up, I need the same thing. Left and Right door harness', and at least the pigtails of the connector off the floor harness that plugs into the outside of the door and runs into the cabin. I'm just trying to get power windows and locks going. Keeping manual mirrors.
