Need to replace a fender, go used OEM or Aftermarket new?
I'm trying to decide which way to go, i can get a mint used OEM one, would need to be painted for approx $100(its silver my teg is black). Or I could get a new primed, aftermarket fender for 150. I'm just worried about fitment, would it look like crap with gaps.
On another note, I could get an aftermarket fender painted and shipped for 365, but I would imagine the paint would be slightly different due to fading and time.
Opinions?

Go OEM for sure. You will know that you will get perfrect fitment versus taking a risk with an aftermarket one. Granted, there are aftermarket ones that fit well.
Where is the difficulty in this decision? The OEM fender is cheaper, is guaranteed to fit, and needs to be painted just like the aftermarket fender.

OEM for sure.
Depending on how old the paint job is you cant gaurantee a match if you just paint the fender. If the paint is pretty old you might have to blend it to match.

^Exactly what I was thinking, why would you pay more for a crappier part, when both will need to be painted anyway? Speaking from experience also, those aftermarket parts can fit like crap, nothing like perfect stock fit.

How is a stock-style aftermarket fender rice?
