Default question about ignition timing

will advancing timing to 18 which is still within specs ALWAYS show an INCREASE in low end power?

what about going to 20 or even 22? will they yield even more power when you tune it or it depends on the mods too?

Increasing ignition timing will not always yield power gains.

For example, I made more power at 36deg than at 38deg. That is tuning through Crome. Base ignition is usually left at 15deg (distributor).

setting your timing too high will fry ignition components faster, possibly resulting in distributor damage or worse. keep it simple at ~16.
