help
i installed a new cd player in my 91 accord and now the dash clock and automatic seat belts have stopped working. i need to get this thing inspected in the next few days so it's really important that i can fix this soon
yeah that was the first thing i did, i even took it to an import shop to see if there was something i missed and he didn't know what to do. they recomened me leaving the car with them but i don't really have the money, so i really wanna see what i can do myself
Does the HU work?
Did you check the fuses in the under hood fuse box, on most Honda/Acuras, the HU constant power, [also clock power] is fused in the under hood fuse box, and almost always it's a 7.5A fuse, this may not be good enough for an aftermarket "high power" HU, what is the make and model of the HU?
BTW if it is the fuse in the under hood fuse box, and it is a 7.5A, DO NOT replace it with a bigger one, if the HU needs more current run a fused line directly from the batt. pos.(+) post, [just like you would for an off board amp.

Sorry I do not have a wiring diagram for an 02 Accord, but if I remember right, are there not at least 3 fuse boxes in that car, under dash drivers side, kick panel pass. side and under hood fuse box.
You say the CD player works, how about the radio, will it keep the preset radio stations, and does the clock, [in HU] keep the time?

I the HU will not keep the presets it means that the constant power input to HU, [yellow] is not working, and if the clock came on for a sec. it's probably a defective fuse or a bad connection at the fuse, this will happen, [bad connection] if too much current is drawn on the circuit, if the fuse is defective, it may look like its good but it's not, a common problem with "blade" fuse, [ATC] is the fuse filament can brake right at one of the fuse "legs"... http://www.scosche.com/scosche...CF-25 see where the fuse filament, [backwards S] is connected to the fuse "legs" they can brake there and look perfectly good, the fuse needs to be tested with a multimeter, [pull fuse and test for continuity] or use a multimeter or test light and check for 12V+, [power] at both "test tips" at top of fuse, do this with system on, [under load].
